Private equity group rolls up 3 small companies for courier community

Private equity firm Trident Management seems to be an early mover in bolting collectively small courier companies onto a platform that can offer shippers larger regional density and attain as an various to giant, legacy parcel carriers.

“The buyer universe for a well-run regional courier is expanding quickly, and founder-owned operators in target geographies are likely getting inbound calls right now. There just hasn’t been” a headline deal yet,” del Pilar explained via email.

Why It Matters: There is room for consolidation in the express courier industry, with investors, owners and competitors watching for any activity.
