Stahl updates Sensora haptic coatings portfolio for packaging functions

Speciality coatings developer Stahl has up to date its Sensora portfolio, comprising a line of haptic coatings for packaging supplies.

The company said the merchandise are supposed to give packaging a tactile factor through finishes that can fluctuate from tender and velvety to clean, silky, rubber-like and textured.

Sensora has been developed for use on paper and board, slender web and versatile packaging, and is aimed at both food and non-food segments.

The portfolio covers water-based and energy-curable systems, with matte, soft-touch and other tactile results.

Several merchandise in the vary are obtainable with food-contact compliance choices, including Swiss and German Ink ordinances, as effectively as ISEGA and EuPIA compliance.

Stahl packaging coatings group director Paul Grzebielucha said: “With Sensora, Stahl helps manufacturers harness the energy of contact in packaging.

Stahl’s possession is divided among Wendel (68.5%), BASF (16.1%), and Clariant (14.6%).
